Started Austwinds in 1992. I am very grateful to have met so many good people from around the world, growers, plant breeders, airline people, importers, wholesalers, truckers, auctioneers and designers, not to mention the truly great team here at Austwinds.
Fred van Wijk
Director
A Dutchman born and bred in the flower industry, from a family of growers. Moved to Australia in 1992 to get away from it all but fell straight back into it. Looks after the European side of the business, IT and general business development. Busy studying a MBA and keeping fit.
Irene van Wijk
Financial Controller
Another Dutchie in the team, first came to Australia in 1989 as a backpacker and loved it. After spending 5 years full time looking after Austwinds financials Irene now works part-time and studies full time to become a Naturopath.
Miho Hayashi
Sales Manager S.E. Asia
Originally from Kyoto, and now 20 years experience in the Australian export industry. Fresh, dried and preserved flowers for the Asian markets. Studying Mandarin at the moment. Always something new happening in this business and that's why I love it.
Flinn Lambert
Sales & New Zealand Purchasing Manager
This Kiwi moved to Australia in 2003 to join the Austwinds team. Flinn worked in the New Zealand flower export industry for 5 years before the move across the ditch.
